We suggest having your heating and A/C units serviced 1-2 times a year. The overall function and quality of your A/C may decrease over time but it is advisable to call up a professional to regularly service the A/C. This will help with the longevity of the unit and ensure that any repairs are caught quickly before they turn into bigger issues.

How long does an A/C unit typically last?

 If serviced annually and cared for regularly, A/C units can last up to 20 years. Ensuring proper care for your A/C, your unit will typically last anywhere from 10 to 20 years.

How long do standard repairs take?

Standard repairs usually take between 1-4 hours. This is all dependent on the size of the unit, the damage to the unit, where the issue resides within the HVAC system, etc. Once we assess the issue, our technicians can give a more precise timeline for the actual repair.

Why is my HVAC system noisy?

It’s pretty usual for your HVAC system to make noises. Any normal noises are just system processes doing their usual. However, if you hear some odd noises, they might present a potential issue in your system. It’s necessary to call the experts to at least check the noise. You may never know if there’s an issue so it’s better to be completely sure. Prolonging the necessary check-up by a professional may have some serious consequences down the road.

My outdoor unit needs to be replaced. Do I need to replace my indoor unit as well?

We would recommend doing so. Usually, air conditioner and heat pump outdoor units are manufactured to only work with matching indoor units. Replacing only one of the units may lead to reduced performance.

My air ducts are always popping,
what can be the issue?

If you hear a popping noise, your ducts are probably too small for the airflow your system is generating. Our professionals will check your ducts and make needed adjustments.

My A/C is freezing up, what could be the issue?

There might be a few possible explanations for the experienced issue. The issue might be in the evaporator coil. This part of the condenser unit transfers heat from the inside to the outside of your home. The evaporator coil may be freezing because of the restricted airflow or lack of refrigerant. What’s the best level of humidity
inside of my house?

This is a great question. We think that the optimum level inside of your home is close to 35% relative humidity, but it’s perfectly reasonable that the humidity level is anywhere between 30% and 40%. We advise not to go above 40% because anything above can create condensation on your windows and it’s a perfect breeding ground for mold. Mold can lead to allergies and respiratory issues.
